Business storage and recovery policy
Version: business-standard-2026-10-v1. These terms describe the business pilot. Business plans are sold on this website through a secure Stripe checkout. Existing personal subscriptions keep their own terms.
Plans and units
Business Standard includes 2 TB for $60/month, Business Pro includes 5 TB for $150/month, and Business Ultra includes 10 TB for $300/month. Every licensed computer or server adds $1.99/month; no endpoints are included in the base price. Amounts are USD before tax. One GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes, and one TB is 1,000 GB.
What counts toward storage
Your organization shares one allowance. We count verified retained encrypted bytes, including encrypted manifests, retained versions, archived datasets and data awaiting safe deletion. Upload reservations reduce available space while uploads are pending, but do not become stored usage before verification. Revoking a device stops its access and releases its occupied slot; it does not delete its backups or reduce purchased slot charges.
Additional storage
Overage is off by default. An owner or billing administrator can enable it at $0.03 per additional GB-month and choose an extra-capacity ceiling. This ceiling limits new uploads; it is not a guaranteed dollar spending cap.
Usage uses the largest retained byte count within each UTC-day segment, split at subscription and allowance boundaries, weighted by segment duration within the actual subscription month. A short storage spike contributes the segment's peak. For example, 500 GB above the allowance for 15 complete days of a 30-day period costs $7.50; the same excess for the whole period costs $15.
Turning off overage stops further expansion. Previously retained excess continues to accrue under the accepted policy until physically removed or covered by increased included capacity. Storage is reclaimed only after reference protection, restore leases and safe deletion checks complete.
Recovery custody and history
Your recovery administrators control company recovery. Each endpoint holds its own dataset keys, while the service stores encrypted envelopes and non-secret metadata. The service does not hold plaintext organization recovery keys. Authorized recovery administrators may restore employee backups.
Keep the encrypted recovery kit, its separately secured 24-word secret, and current exported dataset-key directory. A phrase alone cannot recreate missing dataset envelopes. Support cannot reset encryption if all usable recovery keys and offline copies are lost.
The pilot retains 30 days of committed recovery history while service is active, plus the latest committed restore point. Restores happen on a trusted local machine and verify decrypted content. Initial server scope is file backup; live database consistency, application-aware snapshots, VM recovery and bare-metal recovery are not promised.
Cancellation
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid subscription period. New backups stop then. Included restore-only access continues for seven days, after which safe permanent cleanup is scheduled. Cancellation ends the ongoing 30-day history service after that recovery window. Keep the subscription active if longer archive retention is needed. Terminated service does not accrue new recurring storage overage during the included recovery window.
Revocation
Revoked devices cannot obtain new API authorizations. Already issued object URLs can remain usable until their short expiry, currently up to 15 minutes. Revocation cannot remove plaintext or keys already copied by a previously authorized person or compromised endpoint.
