What stays backed up, what stops, and when data is deleted.

• Files you delete locally stay restorable from your backup until they are purged.
• Removing a folder from your protected list stops backups of new changes only when you choose "also stop backing up". Otherwise the already-backed-up copies remain available.
• Purged files stop being restorable immediately. The encrypted objects behind them — which may still be shared with retained data — are reclaimed from storage later, so their bytes can continue to count until reclamation runs.
• If you cancel, your backup catalog is removed 14 days after the end of your paid period; physical reclamation of the underlying objects completes afterwards.
• The recovery phrase is never stored by us, so there is nothing to retain or delete on our side.
